Description
Optimune 8 is a killed vaccine containing infectious bursal disease viruses
of the standard and variant types, Newcastle disease virus, bronchitis
viruses of the Mass. type, and avian reoviruses of the standard and SS412
types.
Indications
Optimune 8 is recommended for the vaccination of chickens as an aid in
the prevention of diseases caused by Newcastle disease virus, infectious
bronchitis viruses (Mass. type) and reoviruses. Vaccination with Optimune
8 provides maternal antibodies to progeny of breeder hens for the prevention
of infectious bursal disease caused by standard and variant types and
tenosynovitis and malabsorption caused by reoviruses of the standard and
SS412 types.
Optimune 8 is administered by the subcutaneous route to healthy chickens
at least four weeks prior to the onset of egg production.
